上洋村位于西兰乡，与坑里村、甘厝村、磹石村、破石村等村相邻。村名来自村边的一块水田。[1]

地名由来[edit]

旧时村边的田洋里，有一块水田形状像碟子，被叫作上碟洋，之后简称上洋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明至清末此地归化一里；民国时期隶属第四区、第三区，并入凤寿乡。1961年另立上洋大队，归飞竹区岭头公社管辖；1965年划入西兰公社。「文革」期间另有革命委员会的称呼，1983年又回到大队管委会的名称。1984年改设村委会，属西兰乡。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，上洋村获评「2023年福建省卫生村」。2021年8月，村庄入选罗源县第四轮第二批（2020年）「平安村（社区）」名单。[1]
