民族村是洪洋乡下辖的行政村，为少数民族村，村民以畬族为主，辖6个自然村，村中开挖鱼塘，放养黄颡鱼、小龙虾等。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：村中畬族居民占绝大多数，习惯上把少数民族简称为民族，村名由此而来。[1]

明至清末，本村属罗平里。1950年属二区洪洋乡，1958年新设民族大队，隶起步公社。1961年改属起步区的一个公社；1965年归洪洋公社。“文革”期间设大队革委会，1983年恢复管委会名称，1984年起改设村委会，仍属洪洋乡。[1]

经济[edit]

村里发展特色农业，开挖鱼塘，放养黄颡鱼、小龙虾等，并支持村民养殖鸡、鸭等家禽，发展毛竹垦复。[2]

文化[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2021年8月，本村被确定为「罗源县第四轮第二批（2020年）平安村（社区）」。[1]
