连兴村隶属江南镇，地处敖江南岸，村边有花坞火车站。博雅地名网载全村296户、1056人（未注年份）。[1]
地名由来[edit]
早年村民同心发展农业生产，为经济振兴出力，取团结、兴旺之意得名连兴。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地在清代隶属福州市永福乡安庆里，村名也叫上斗门。1958年设连兴大队，1984年由此改为连兴村委会，归敖江镇管辖。1997年自敖江镇划出，改属江南乡。[1][2]
人口与产业[edit]
村民中外出经商、务工、出国劳务的较多，部分村民以种植和种菜为生。常住本村的人口约600人。[1]
荣誉称号[edit]
连兴村于2022年12月获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名，称为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
