地名由来[edit]
早年村庄与外界没有道路相通，出入须乘船，居民便以五六米长的竹子撑船，村因此得名横槎。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代，张氏从闽侯迁入，陈氏从连江东岱迁入，黄氏从敖江青塘迁入，村当时归光临里管理。[1]
1958年设敖江公社横槎大队；1984年又改称敖江乡的横槎村委会。1997年敖江乡拆分，村改属江南乡。[1]
