大湖村是大湖乡政府所在地，下辖的自然村有韩坂、上淀洋、衙前、苑里、郎官、大湖店、寨上，以及大湖本村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

地势平阔，四周环山，山间多雾，远望如一片湖泊，村名由此而来。[1]

1984年大队改为村，沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子东边挨着东墘，西边与上苑相连，南侧是新塘，北侧与墙坪接界。土地合计16434亩：林地10036亩，耕地2657亩。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

大湖战役遗迹位于大湖村浮岛山，包括大湖抗日阵亡将士墓与志雄关。[2][3]

大湖抗日阵亡将士墓于1945年由福建省政府拨款修建，安葬二百多名阵亡将士的遗骨，墓塔镶有陈仪、蒋介石等人题字。[4]
