社区名称取自下辖的庄前、南柄两处片村，各取一字组合而成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地于1984年设立庄南村村民委员会，此后于2006年撤销村委会，设立庄南社区居委会。[1]
据百度百科，至2014年时庄前、南柄与白岩三处为社区内的自然村。[2]
荣誉[edit]
福建省爱卫办于2021年11月把庄南社区列为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
