西埔村在玉田镇政府以南约4千米处，南靠桃源山脉，西侧以闽侯的鸭笼山为界。[1]

村内设陈店、莲角两个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于一条小江的西侧，当地称小江为「浦」，故先名「西浦」。后因小江逐渐淤塞，改称「西埔」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年时称仙店村，1960年成为西埔生产大队，1999年起称西埔村委会，此名沿用至今。[1]

文化[edit]

「西埔粉干」为长乐区级非物质文化遗产。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，西埔村获评「2021年福建省卫生村」，由福建省爱卫办认定。[1]

2022年12月，西埔村被确定为「2022年度福州市中级版“绿盈乡村”」。[1]
