下洋村位于营前街道西部，地处乌龙江南岸，南连大象山，北临乌龙江，村域多山，依山面水[1]。村民以农耕和果蔬种植为主，蔬菜和果树遍布山园地[2]。

地名与沿革[edit]

村民的先人原住山上，后下山垦洲，开辟为洋（水）田，村名因此而来[1]。1949年后称革委会，1985年设下洋村委会[1]。

文物[edit]

村中大象山麓有谢肇淛墓，占地195平方米，为福建省文物保护单位[3]。陶江林义姑墓位于华阳山，为区级文物保护单位，2007年公布；山田自然村的林培轩墓为文物点[4]。

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年底将下洋村命名为「2022年福建省卫生村」[1]。
