板桥村是宦溪镇下辖的行政村，村名来自村口的一座石拱桥。旧时村口的通路被小溪隔断，宋代村民用石块垒桥墩和桥台，再铺木板作桥面，建成了这座石拱桥，于是称为板桥。石拱桥现已列为文物保护对象。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，板桥村是福州市内孔子后裔的聚居村。相传元代，村中先祖避乱，自山东曲阜沿福温古道南迁，在福州城郊山区安家。[2]

村内建有兴福胜境和溪边胜两座胜境，前者修于乾隆年间（约1728年），后者修于康熙初年（约1717年），都是村民集会议事的地方。2017年，村里又建成孔子书院和孔子广场。[2]

板桥大队成立于1962年，此前的1956年、1958年先后设初级社和高级社；1984年，村里改设板桥村委会。[2]

文物[edit]

宋至元代的宦溪窑址，其主要窑址分布在本村新厝山一带。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2021年1月，板桥村被评定为「福州市乡村振兴中高级版试点村」。2021年11月，福建省爱卫办将板桥村定为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2021年12月，村里获命名「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]

2022年10月，板桥村被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」，同时获评省级「乡村治理示范村」。2023年2月，板桥村列入「第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1][4]
