秀山村属福州市晋安区新店镇，为行政村，城乡分类为城乡结合区。村以境内的秀山得名。秀山是平原上一座孤立的小丘，高约30米，占地约15公顷，北望莲峰，西望升山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

唐代村地属闽县，两宋至元明中叶归怀安县，明末清初改隶侯官县，清末为侯官县西园区，民国年间隶闽侯（林森）县，属其五区之一，即新店区。1949年12月归福州市洪山区，1952年底转属新店区。[1][2]

1955年隶鹅峰乡，1958年并入新店人民公社。1960年重建新店区，设秀山生产队；1969年随区公所改制，归公社管辖。1970年隶红卫（鼓楼）区，1975年归福州郊区，1982年回归郊区。1984年为新店乡秀山村委会，1992年起隶新店镇。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的秀山李氏宗祠古碑为文物点，年代为清代，位于五四北路边。[3]
