郭前村属福州市晋安区新店镇，为行政村，城乡分类为城乡结合区。据博雅地名网所述，村名的来历与明代嘉靖年间倭寇侵扰福州一事有关。2022年12月，村被福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村地唐代属闽县，两宋至元明中叶归怀安县，明末清初改属侯官县，清末属侯官县西园区。民国年间隶闽侯（林森）县，所在为其五区中的新店区；解放初期划为洪山区新店分区西园乡。[1][2]
1958年至1960年隶属福州郊区温泉乡；1960年设郭前大队，归温泉、新店两公社管辖。1969年至1973年转隶红卫（鼓楼）区新店公社；1973年复设郭前大队，改属环城区新店公社。1980年大队改称村，1984年设村民委员会，隶郊区新店乡。1992年9月起属新店镇。[2]
