历史沿革[edit]
此地先是城门第一区下的吴厝村（1950年前后），继而在1958年成为大队，1967年以“红光”为名，至1984年才设村委会。[1]
文化[edit]
螺洲孔庙在本村，为福州市级文物保护单位，是福州地区仅存的两座孔庙之一。[2][4]
著名人物[edit]
吴石（1894—1950年）生于此村，字虞薰，国民党军高级将领，1950年6月在台北去世。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2024年12月，吴厝村被认定为福州市2024年市级「一村一品」专业村，主导产业为休闲观光。[1]
