历史沿革[edit]

据村概况，张家坂、陈家塘两村至今已有570年历史。2005年村规模调整时，陈家塘、张家坂两村合并为南江村。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村子位于临浦镇南端，东面与新港村为界，南面连着新联村，西面与浦二村相邻，北面靠浦阳江，03省道穿村而过。村域面积1.2平方千米。[2]

人口民族[edit]

据2022年发布的村概况，全村有450户，18个村民小组，总人口1702人，党员79人。[2]

村内以孔姓为主，约占全村的95%。村里经过2010年至2013年的梳理，于2013年3月完成了孔氏家谱的全面圆谱。[2]
