东桥村位于靖江街道东南部，东靠黄公楼湾，西为甘露村，北与光明村为邻，南与党山镇开源村接壤。[1][2]

名称由来[edit]

村民小组所在地段与甘露村交界处有一座桥，20世纪50年代初起当地称之为东桥头，村名由此而来。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

20世纪50年代，此地属联庄乡黎明大队。1969年此地设东桥大队，归甘露公社管辖。[4]

1984年改称甘露乡东桥村，之后在1992年划入靖江镇，2009年9月起归靖江街道。[4]

人口[edit]

全村耕地2025亩，农户694户，人口2271人，设15个村民小组。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村地属沙土平原，农业以春粮和水稻为主，经济作物有大豆、蔬菜和花生等。[2]
