留下街道是浙江省杭州市西湖区西部的一个街道，西与余杭区的闲林、五常两地相接，西溪湿地的东南侧即是它的辖区。[1][4]留下一名源自南宋高宗南渡的故事：据晚清《钱塘县志》转引的传说，建炎三年高宗来到西溪，一度想在此建都，后改变主意，说出了「西溪且留下」，“留下”遂成为地名。[3][5]2007年撤镇设街道，此前为留下镇。[3][4]街道内设多个社区，另有东穆坞村、石马等村落，辖区内有浙江工业大学、浙江科技学院等高校聚集的小和山高教园区。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

元明清时期此地称留下镇，属杭州府钱塘县。1949年后先属杭县，1958年改隶杭州市，并改称留下人民公社。1969年至1977年间划入杭州郊区，之后重回西湖区。1981年复置留下镇，1984年一度改作留下乡，同年年底又与乡镇合并，仍称留下镇。2007年撤镇，改设留下街道。[3]

地理环境[edit]

街道面积36.1平方千米，东侧与西湖、古荡一带相接，南与转塘街道的龙坞相连。[1][2]西溪湿地与街道北部相接，小和山一带群山环绕。[2]

人口[edit]

百度百科据2011年末统计，街道总人口为59990人。[4]博雅地名网的数字另成一组：总人口12万余人，常住人口近2万人，外来流动人口在5万以上，高校学生约5万人。[2]两者统计口径不同，以上数字请对照各自的年份与说明。

经济与文化[edit]

旧时这里也叫西溪市，在杭州西郊的集市中占一席之地；茶叶、水产、春笋与方柿多在此流通，镇里因此有了茶市街。[5]

小和山高教园区里有几所高校，其中包括浙江工业大学与浙江科技学院，另有浙江长征职业技术学院。[2]街道内还有留下中学、西湖高级中学、留下中心小学等学校。[2]

2009年2月，留下街道入选「第一批杭州市非物质文化遗产生态保护区」，列入的是茶市民俗。[1]2011年12月，街道被命名为「第三批浙江省省级生态街道」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

忠义桥是一座单孔圆弧形石拱桥，横跨西溪河；拱板上刻有年份题记，写明为南宋嘉定戊寅，即1218年。[6]百度百科称该桥始建于南宋嘉定十一年，并称其为杭州市区唯一的宋代桥梁。它于2005年成为省级文物，2019年10月7日由国务院列入「第八批全国重点文物保护单位」。[7]

卫匡国墓是明末清初来华的意大利传教士马尔蒂尼（卫匡国）的墓地，位于东岳社区的西溪路一带，1989年公布为省级文物保护单位。[1][8][9]
