西溪街道是浙江省杭州市西湖区下辖的街道，位于西湖区东北部，面积3.02平方千米，辖12个社区。[6]

街道以境内的西溪河得名。辖区内有多所高等院校，2022年常住人口为7.8万余人。[4][5][6]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时此地归钱塘、仁和两县辖境，1912年2月两县合为杭县。民国时期先后属杭县与杭州市第四区，1949年5月改属西湖区花园亭乡。[3]

西溪街道设立于1962年5月。1969年西湖区被撤销，此地划入拱墅区，至1972年又回归西湖区。[3]

街道办事处所在的马塍路，名称来自《湖墅小志》所载：吴越国钱王曾在此养马，数量多达三万余匹。[2]

2020年12月，街道入选「第四批智慧健康养老示范街道（乡镇）」。2022年11月，街道入选「浙江省数字生活新服务特色镇」，领域为数字商贸与数字文旅。[1]

地理环境[edit]

街道坐落于西湖区的东北部，东侧以莫干山路与拱墅区接壤，北界为余杭塘河。西面连接教工路，与翠苑街道相接；南侧沿天目山路，与北山、灵隐两街道接壤。[4]

境内的西溪河，据《杭州的水》，自八字桥至余杭塘河一段称西溪河。街道即因此河得名。[2][4]

据百度百科，截至2011年末，街道总人口为13.91万人。[4]

文化教育[edit]

街道境内的高等院校包括浙江大学西溪校区、浙江师范大学杭州校区、浙江工商大学，以及浙江广播电视大学、浙江教育学院。[5]
