锦绣社区位于杭州市拱墅区米市巷街道，在夹城巷以南、潮王路以北，东侧靠近运河。[1][2]

社区名称取自旧锦绣弄。锦绣弄相传为清代以刺绣作坊出名的地方，1994年旧城改造时拆除，此后建成锦绣新村。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

2001年2月，社区以原锦绣新村居民区为依托组建。[3]

社区获得的荣誉有「省级文明社区」「省级示范居委会」「省绿色社区」「省级卫生先进集体」，市级的有「杭州市示范文明社区」「杭州市党建工作示范点」「杭州市和谐社区」等。[2]

社区占地面积约0.22平方千米，绿化面积为38000平方米。[2]
