九塘社区位于九堡街道的集贸中心一带，社区旧名几经更易，2012年10月改为现名。[1]
沿革与更名[edit]
1987年3月，最初的九堡居民组改组为九堡镇街道居民委员会。2003年7月，该机构改为九堡社区居委会，隶属九堡镇。2012年10月15日，再度更名为九塘社区。[1]
位置与居民[edit]
社区的东侧与三卫社区衔接，西侧挨着蚕桑社区，南端到九堡社区，北端抵杭海路。辖区面积0.7平方千米，分为5个居民小组。[1]
户籍在册的家庭共453户，其中户籍人员1762人。另外有常住家庭1200余户，以及16个集体户，常住人口合计5400余人，党员38人。以上数字，博雅地名网未注统计年份。[1]
