金海社区是九堡街道的一个社区，名称来自辖区内的金海商城，以及一家名为金海置业的开发商。[1]

建立经过[edit]

这一带原属牛田、蚕桑两个社区。城市化加速、人口激增后，开发商在此陆续建起了风林公寓、东都公寓、香滨湾花园、东方公寓与晨光绿苑五个小区。[1]

区政府批准设立时，此地称九堡镇金海社区，时为2009年1月；同年3月组成筹建小组，7月设党支部。居民委员会于2010年12月经选举组建。[1]

服务设施[edit]

社区以「一门式」大厅提供服务，内设劳动保障、计划生育、帮扶救助、综治、妇女维权等工作站，以及卫生城管联系点。社区工作人员有11人。[2]

劳动保障室办理失业登记与退休人员的关系转移，帮扶救助站受理低保和残疾证申请，计划生育服务站接收准生证与独生子女证的申请，综治工作站则为流动人口办理居住证。[2]
