地名由来[edit]
境内有草庄桥，社区因此得名。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年并入笕桥人民公社，称草庄大队；此后几经更名，1981年定名草庄村，1984年列为草庄行政村。2007年撤村建居，属第四批撤村建居的社区。[4][2]
2008年和2010年，社区因城市化推进两次征迁，实现整村推进。安置房于2012年12月开始回迁，回迁安置318户。[2]
