北门社区是江城区南恩街道下辖的社区，位于主城区。社区名称来自居委会驻地附近的北门街。[1]
社区的前身是1958年设立的向阳居委会，1979年8月改称北门居委会。1988年划归南恩街道，2003年10月迁至现址。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年，社区的前身向阳居委会建立，最初属于县城镇第一街。1961年5月起，此地划入江城镇第一街；到1962年6月，江城镇同江城人民公社合并，它转归公社的第一街。1972年7月25日，又重新回到江城镇。[2]
1979年8月，居委会更名为北门居委会。1983年12月6日，第一街撤去，此地改由江城镇一区街道办事处管理。1988年1月，阳江建市分县，一区街道办事处撤销，社区划归南恩街道。2003年10月25日，居委会搬到现在的办公地点。[2]
