赤龙村为浰源镇辖内的行政村，城乡分类上属镇乡结合区。村名取“赤”字，寓意无产阶级革命与红色政权的建立[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立后此地设赤龙乡。1958年冬，明灯一带划归正排乡管辖；1967年原赤龙乡改为赤龙大队。1984年，赤龙大队分出明星、龙星、源塘三个行政村；1990年改为管理区，2000年至2004年又改称村。2004年10月，三村合并为赤龙村[1]。
文化[edit]
2023年5月，赤龙村获省爱卫会颁发的2022年度广东省卫生村荣誉[1]。
