历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立前称乡；1951年归老隆公社，1961年归水贝公社，1964年另立水贝大队。[1]1983年改称乡，1987年起设村民委员会，1989年改管理区，到1999年再设村委会。[1]
2019年9月，月落塘村名列「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2026年3月，被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
