竹塘村是紫金县凤安镇所辖的行政村。博雅地名网说，这里群山环抱，低处溪河边黄竹成片，当地人叫它「黄竹塘」，村名从中而来。^[1]^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年起，这里是蓝塘公社、1961年起是凤安公社属下的曹洞大队，直到1982年；1983年改乡，1987年立竹塘村委会，1989年称竹塘管理区，1999年以村民委员会的形式沿续。^[1] 2026年3月，竹塘村也在广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇之列。^[1]
