东莞村是广东省汕尾市陆丰市大安镇西南方向的行政村，下辖1个自然村，距镇区约7公里、陆丰市区约22公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
五百多年前，杨、朱、梁、郑等姓先后迁居于此。新中国成立后这里属东七乡，1958年公社化成了东七大队；1961年东莞塘划入旱田大队，1974年从旱田大队分出，设东莞大队；1987年改称村委会，1994年改管理区，1999年又称村委会。[1]
概况[edit]
村域约1平方千米，村情介绍称总人口一千六百多，位置偏僻，多数村民外出打工，在村的以种果树、水稻为主要收入来源。[1]2023年5月，东莞村被广东省爱国卫生运动委员会评为“2022年广东省卫生村”。[1]
