石中村在蕉岭县东部，属蓝坊镇，于2026年3月入选广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇名单。[1]
地名来历[edit]
相传此地产麻石，以石柱和石舂臼出名，初名石舂臼；客家话里「石舂」与「石中」音近，后写作石中。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年原是南磜乡的石中村，1953年转入蓝坊乡。公社化后依次属红旗四社、东风公社和蓝坊公社，1983年另立石中乡；其后改称村委会，1990年有过管理区之名，1999年起仍是村委会。[1][2]
经济[edit]
村情介绍分5个村民小组，在册192户、730人，耕地580亩，种三华李、生姜和毛竹，特色是仙人草；毛竹年收入约50万元，另有笋竹两用林1000多亩；上一年村经济总收入389万元。[1]
