历史沿革[edit]
1963年，原塘背大队与秀观山大队合并，组成现在的塘背。1983年改称塘背乡，1986年改为农村管理区，1999年改称村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，塘背村获广东省爱卫会授予的2021年广东省卫生村称号；2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年3月，被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇[1]。
