历史沿革[edit]
黄竹村1958年设黄竹大队，1968年称乡人民政府，1987年称村民委员会，1989年称管理区，1999年定名黄竹村委会，沿用至今。[1]2021年12月获广东省爱卫会授予2021年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
文化[edit]
茂南年代记忆博物馆位于黄竹村，临环市南路黄竹桥南侧，茂名发布称其为茂名市首家民办博物馆，藏品3000多件，分民俗、文史、红色记忆3个专题陈列，累计接待参观者40多万人次。[2]百度百科载，该馆2013年7月创办，由当地一处故居改建；2014年6月，它被授予广东省文化遗产保护突出贡献团体称号。[3]此外，2023年第三季度和2024年第一季度，它进入广东省热门博物馆百强名单。[2][3]
