岭咀社区是广东省茂名市茂南区河东街道下辖的社区，1995年由村委会转为社区居民委员会，城乡分类属主城区。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，当地旧时有一块向西突出的圆长形地块，形如嘴，前面是一片低洼的鱼塘，因而得名“岭咀”。[1]
1949年11月设岭咀行政村，属新坡乡。1959年改称岭咀大队，属新坡公社。1984年先改为岭咀乡政府，后改称岭咀管理区，属新坡镇；同年茂名市升为地级市，管理区又改为岭咀村委会。1995年转居，成为隶属河东街道办事处的岭咀社区居民委员会，名称沿用至今。[1]
