地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，村子围绕小林山而建，以山为名，简称“小林”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地在1949年前是中山县七区的海荣乡，次年归中山县六区的大、小林乡。此后几经变动：1953年划入珠海县第三区（三灶），1957年单设小林乡，1958年年底并入中山县，1961年建公社并回珠海县，1979年起属珠海市，1984年归香洲区，1986年升为小林镇。红旗华桥农场改设红旗镇后，小林镇在2002年并入其中，镇的建制改为村，名称未变。[1]
荣誉[edit]
小林村2019年9月进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单，2021年、2022年先后上榜淘宝村名单，2023年11月，它成了广东“百千万工程”首批典型村之一。[1]
