历史沿革[edit]
桂海在1958年是桂海大队；1983年设桂海乡，归桂山区公所管；1988年起为桂海村委会，一直沿用。[1]
经济[edit]
广东省农业农村厅在2021年9月公布「第二批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单，桂海村入选，产业为水产养殖。[1]
荣誉[edit]
「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」名单在2023年11月公布，桂海村在列；2024年1月，又被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
