草围社区是深圳市宝安区航城街道下辖的社区，位于广深公路西侧，南有三围、钟屋社区，北面是后瑞社区和机场，东面是黄田，西面到宝安大道，面积0.5平方千米。[1][2]
地名相传是两百多年前这里还是海滩，有人围田种植水草，故称草围。1988年建村委会，2004年改为社区。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
建国之前这里荒无人烟，1956年塘边、后瑞等村的村民陆续搬来，才有了草围。它原是三围大队、三围村属下的自然村，1988年7月（百度百科记为11月，称经宝安县民政局批准）划分出来，设新安镇草围村民委员会，管原三围村的三队和四队。[3][1]
1994年3月西乡恢复建制，草围随之归西乡镇。1997年5月村委会迁入草围二路28号的新办公楼。2004年7月城市化改制，村委会改称草围社区居民委员会，属航城街道。[3] 据航城街道办事处介绍，原居民主要在十八世纪迁入，多为基围人。[4]
人口民族[edit]
辖区分为南区、北区和第一、第二工业区四个网格；有住宅楼400栋、3802户，居民逾1.8万人。[1]
经济[edit]
社区有2个工业区和1个城市综合体，设有华文学校和社康中心，曾获「广东省交通安全文明示范社区」「市级六好社区」等称号。[4]
