历史沿革[edit]
1951年为万侯乡，随后成为大队，又经乡政府、管理区的阶段，到2004年划入武江区。[1]
经济与资源[edit]
全村2600多人。2009年农业生产总值是2594万元，人均收入6686元，作物以水稻、花生为主。矿产有陶瓷矿、白钨矿、铅锌矿。近年又种红薯苗。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
侯屋村在重阳镇西南部，离镇中心约7.5公里。村里的紫薇炮楼是清光绪三十四年（1908年）建的，在2012年被武江区列为「一般不可移动文物」，历史上曾做过革命活动的据点。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月进入「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单，2021年8月被认定为「2020年广东省森林乡村」。[1][2]
近年建设[edit]
万侯村是全国乡村治理示范村。[3] 2026年10月，区委书记到村里察看闲置空间改造、基础设施和人居环境整治，要求把它作为典型村培育的样板。[4]
