横沙社区是广州市白云区金沙街道的一个社区，在金沙洲上，由原横沙村改制而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据社区资料，横沙在南宋时期已立村，清代称横沙村。[1]1954年设横沙村委会，当时隶属石井镇；2002年7月金沙街道成立，横沙划归该街道，同年撤村改居，设横沙居委会。[1]
地名由来[edit]
当地老人相传，村名原为黄沙：早年村人划龙船时撞伤官船，为躲避追究，连夜把村名改作横沙。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
社区内有招氏大宗祠和仲山招大夫祠，属清代古建筑，2008年12月公布为第七批广州市文物保护单位，地址为横沙大街8号。[2][3]卧云庐在横沙南围大道75号，建于清末民初，同批公布。[4]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，横沙社区在广州市住房和城乡建设局的评定中入选「广州市2021年绿色社区」；2024年11月又获评「广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
