历史沿革[edit]
社区之名来自所在的北山村。[1]此前北山村分设三个居委会，2005年7月合为北山居委会，沿用至今。[1][2]街道介绍称，北山拥有海珠区地势较高的北山岗，现已建成北山公园，村里的果林则是广州主要的水果产地之一。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
海珠区不可移动文物名录列有社区内的北山十八级民居、龙吟古井、龙吟门楼和青云里门楼，年代均记为清代。[3]
荣誉[edit]
北山社区列入广州市2021年绿色社区名单（2021年11月，市住房和城乡建设局确定）；2024年11月，又入选当年的广州市高质量就业社区（村）。[1]
