万松园社区隶属海珠区江南中街道，社区办公地在万松园7号之二。名称取自辖内的万松园。[1] 万松园原是南海伍氏的别墅园林，园中用来收藏书画；清代嘉庆年间，文人谢兰生为它题写了“万松园”的匾额。[1] 20世纪70年代末，园址附近开设了万松园市场。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网转述的资料，万松园所在地原为南海伍氏别墅，用于收藏书法与名画；清嘉庆年间，谢兰生在此题额“万松园”，社区由此得名。[1]
伍氏花园位于旧时广州河南的海幢寺以西，大致始建于嘉庆八年（1803年），园中松林成片，故有“万松”之称；各家记述对建园年代和范围的说法不完全一致。[3]
经济[edit]
社区内的万松园市场开办约45年，曾与清平、珠光两个市场并称广州三大农贸市场，是河南一带居民买菜的老市场。2024年8月15日，市场停业，进行升级改造，档主迁往他处。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年11月，万松园社区获广州市住建部门评为「广州市2022年绿色社区」；2026年1月，入选「2025年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
