东塱社区位于广州市荔湾区芳村东南部，东濒珠江，是东沙街道所辖的社区；原为东塱村，村史可上溯到南宋。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据百度百科，村子因处在历史上「崇文二十四乡」的东部而名东塱，「塱」是广府地区指水边平坦洼地的地名用字。[1]西塱、东塱、鹤洞和广钢旧厂区合称「三村一厂」。[1]

社区南接南漖、沙洛两地，西面是西塱，北面是广钢居住区。[1]百度百科记社区人口6636人。[1]
改造与荣誉[edit]
