百度百科称该村元代建村，因位于濂泉河涌的出口而得名。[1]
产业[edit]
传统产业以水草种植与草织工艺为主。1986年引进第一家港资企业后，工商业逐步成为经济的主体。[1]
文化[edit]
村内有海月剧场与图书馆，保留扒龙船、食龙船饭等民俗。龙舟队在1956年的黄埔区龙船赛上夺得头名。每年端午举行的龙舟文化节则始于2006年。[1]
