南充村的名称来自村旁的一条小河：这条河向北流，源头在南，早先叫南涌。后来仿照邻村的谐音改法，把“涌”字改作“充”，遂称南充。龙湾生态旅游区与龙湾制蓝工场遗址都在本村一带。[1][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年公社化后，此地属加益公社。1961年分设南充大队，隶属扶合公社。[2]

1983年改为南充乡，归扶合区管辖；1986年改称南充村委会，1989年又改为管理区，1999年才恢复村委会之名。[2]

社会事业[edit]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会把「2022年广东省卫生村」称号授予该村下辖的11个自然村。[1]

2019年9月，南充村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
