榕木村在1961年至1963年间是旗山公社的驻地。该村于1993年被评划为革命老区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年公社化后，榕木属加益公社，称榕木生产大队；1961年加益公社分出旗山公社，以榕木大队为其驻地；1963年两社合为扶合公社。[2]

1983年改为榕木乡，归扶合区管辖；1986年改称榕木村委会，1989年又改为管理区，1999年才恢复村委会之名。1993年，该村被评划为革命老区。[2]

姓氏宗族[edit]

村中最早的居民以邱氏为主，其始祖梅轩公迁居于此，之后谭、蓝等姓陆续迁来。全村现有邱、谭、蓝、吴、黄、廖、李、覃共8姓，最大姓为邱。[2]
