木寨村是加益镇西部的一个行政村，辖12个自然村，属革命老村[1]。村委驻地盛产木材，树木高大，又是木材的集散地，村名由此而来[2]。2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予村「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局确定村为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

欧氏先人于1713年自罗定连州云致来到此地，是最早的落户者；第二年，黄氏先人从宋桂镇迁入。之后陈、王、韦、赖、许等姓陆续迁入，陈氏一支大约在1910年由本镇排阜和记转来[3]。村子原为郁南县辖地，后改隶罗定。公社化之初，此地归旺水大队管辖，到1961年才分出独立的木寨大队；1983年改为乡，1986年变成村委会，1989年设为管理区，1999年再度恢复村委会名目[3]。
