旺水村是加益镇的一个行政村，村委会驻旺水铺[1]。村子位于加益水源的上游，水源充足，流域内的种养业因而兴旺，村名“旺水”即由此而来[1]。2024年1月，村内根竹园、旺水铺等10个自然村被命名为「2023年云浮市卫生村」[1]。2019年9月，村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

许氏先人于1654年由广西岑溪迁入，成为村中最早的聚居点。此后赖、黄、陈等姓先后迁来；1750年，赖氏先人自西宁县大方镇迁入，王姓则在1860至1885年间从木寨各村迁入[1]。村子原属郁南县，直到1957年才归入罗定。1958年加益公社成立后，这里先设大队，1983年改为乡，1986年又变成村委会；1989年改成管理区，1999年才恢复村委会的名目[2]。
