明镜村的村名来自前身辖区内原有的一座明镜庙，此后一直沿用。村内最早的村落由谭氏始祖斐然在嘉庆年间迁来建立。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

谭氏始祖斐然于嘉庆年间（1795年至1820年）迁到明镜村落户，是村内最早的村落；博雅地名网记其原籍为广东西宁县大湾镇。1875年，黄氏始祖仕进从泗纶镇青桐村迁到都门岗顶村。今有9姓，黄姓占70%。[1][2]

1958年成立公社，明镜隶泗纶公社都门大队。1974年，都门公社分出，都门大队中划设明镜大队。1983年改设明镜乡，隶都门区；1986年改为村民委员会，1989年设管理区，1999年复称村委会，属都门镇。2003年9月，都门并入泗纶镇，明镜村委会设置不变。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把明镜村确定为2021年「乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
