都门村因辖区处在都门圩的周围而得名。1958年设立都门乡，同年公社化后设都门大队，此后经历了都门公社与都门区的时期。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年2月，本地改行乡社制，设立都门乡，乡下设都门等合作社。同年9月公社化，都门大队由此成立，归入泗纶公社。1974年7月，都门大队随从泗纶公社划出的新公社一并调整，改归都门公社。1983年撤大队改设都门乡，归都门区管辖；1986年改为村民委员会，1989年成为管理区，1998年9月管理区取消，村民委员会重新成立。[2]
