青桐村的村名来自辖区内种植桐油树的桐油垠。清代以后，该处地片名称为“青垌”，新中国成立后沿用，称“大青垌”，因驻在大青垌桥头而得此名。村内上寨村的青桐黄氏大宗祠建于清乾隆年间，是罗定市的文物保护单位。[1][3][4]
历史沿革[edit]
黄氏始祖奇峰于明万历年间（1586年）随邵太君揆春由英德迁到三都路营，之后辗转来到桐油垠建村，这是村内最早的村落。1618年，李氏始祖春吴携母自韶关南迁，落户本村委境内。今有黄、李、张、陈、罗5姓，黄姓占90%。[1][2]
此处早年隶属共和生产大队（泗纶公社），1961年6月才改称青桐。1974年7月两队合为共和大队，1983年8月设共和乡，1986年11月改为共和村民委员会，1989年5月分为管理区，1999年方恢复青桐村委会的名称。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
青桐黄氏大宗祠位于上寨村，建成于清乾隆六年（1741年），之后于道光七年和道光二十二年两度重修。它是坐南向北偏东的三进式建筑，正面宽20米，纵深34米，占地680平方米。2011年2月被列入罗定市第四批文物保护名录。[4]

2026年1月，青桐村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
