高和村的名字沿用自前身始建时的命名，辖区地处高山地带。村内最早的村落由李氏始祖春吴于明万历四十五年（1618年）自广东韶关南迁而来。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1618年，李氏始祖春吴公携母自广东韶关南迁，落户罗定州三都泗纶的高垌垠村，是村内最早的村落。明代，黄氏始祖佐才由三都泗纶路营一带分支，定居于高和塘肚等处。今村中有李、黄、沈、梁、陈5姓，李姓占51%。[1][2]

1958年公社化后，1961年6月设高和生产大队，归泗纶公社。1983年改为高和乡，1986年改设村民委员会，1989年设管理区，1999年复称村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，高和村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。2023年4月，高和村名列2022年广东省「乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]
