鸭脚村得名于辖区内最大的村庄鸭脚寨。村委设立之初即以此寨命名，此后一直沿用。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

蓝氏始祖希政于1576年自英德迁到鸭脚村落户，是村内最早的村落。1867年，陈氏始祖啟宗从荣安新塘村迁到横坑村落户。今村中有蓝、陆、陈、赖、黄等9姓，以蓝姓居多。[1][2]

1958年公社化后，鸭脚村属泗纶公社新城生产大队。1961年分出设立鸭脚生产大队，1983年改为鸭脚乡，1986年改设鸭脚村民委员会，1989年设为鸭脚管理区，1999年复称鸭脚村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，鸭脚村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
