碗窑村位于生江镇内，属镇乡结合区。村名与村中的清代古窑有关，窑址遗物以民用青花碗为多。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

朱氏先人迁来定居，形成村中最早的村落，此后李、廖两姓陆续迁入。现有李、朱、廖、谭、郑等姓，李姓为最大姓。[1]

1958年公社化之后，它先归罗城公社，次年才划入黎少公社。1961年，黎少公社的一部分另设生江公社。1983年，大队改组为碗窑乡，归生江区管辖。1986年撤乡后设立碗窑村民委员会，1989年改设碗窑管理区，1999年复称碗窑村委会。[2]

2019年9月，碗窑村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

生江窑址是清代龙窑遗址，靠近泷江。1984年调查时，遗物堆积丰富，瓷片、窑具等多，以民用青花碗最为常见。它是清代罗定居民日常用瓷的重要产地。1994年6月8日，窑址公布为罗定市第二批文物保护单位。[3]
