榃兵村位于生江镇内。村名始于1950年后设立的榃兵乡，此后一直沿用。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
陈氏始祖于1830年迁入定居，形成村中最早的村落；1860年，李氏始祖也迁入。现有陈、李、梁、余等姓，陈姓占30%。[1][2]
1958年，本地设榃兵生产大队，归黎少公社管辖。1961年随生江公社设立而划归生江。1983年大队改为乡，隶属生江区。1986年，乡一级取消，改为村民委员会；1989年改为管理区；1999年恢复为村委会名称。[2]
2019年10月，榃兵村被收入「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。2023年5月，村庄获得「2022年广东省卫生村」称号，由广东省爱卫会颁授。2019年9月，榃兵村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
