历史沿革[edit]
陈氏先人迁来定居，形成村中最早的村落，此后李、黄等姓陆续迁入。现有陈、李、黄、廖、梁等姓，陈姓为最大姓。[1][2]
1958年2月，本地先办起里午合作社；公社化之后的同年9月，它成为黎少公社下的里午大队。1961年随生江公社设立而划归生江。1983年大队改为里午乡，归生江区管辖。1986年乡制取消，改设里午村民委员会，1989年改为管理区，1999年复称里午村委会。[2]
2019年10月，里午村被收入「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。2023年5月，村庄获得「2022年广东省卫生村」称号，由广东省爱卫会颁授。[1]
